Unknown artist – a highly sculptural ‘keel’ type prototype chair

Nutwood, sand and orange painted top and front of seat and back.

Probably United States 1940’s

The chair has clear similarities to the 1944 chair that Alexander Girard designed for his home in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. It has been suggested that it could be a work from New Bauhaus School at the Illinois institute of technology.
